Hello, my name is Norma Barajas, I am an Immigration Attorney. I grew up in Yakima County and I am now ready to give back to my community by rendering immigration services to the public.
I was raised by farm working parents who taught me that hard work and honesty always pay off. When I was not in school, I was working in the fields helping my family. This taught me that being resilient and having a strong work ethic would open doors for me. It was at a young age that I discovered that by pursuing higher education I could impact people’s lives by helping them overcome barriers. It was during that time that my dream of becoming an attorney came to be and I decided to pursue that dream.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Justice from Central Washington University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law. After graduating from law school, I worked as an Immigration Attorney and as a Prosecuting Attorney.
I have been involved in the legal field since 2005 and have held various positions throughout my legal career. I have worked with crime victims, injured workers, civil litigation plaintiffs, and immigrant families. I am thankful for every job I have held throughout my career because each of these jobs has given me the necessary skills to better serve you.
I have experienced the separation of families firsthand and I have seen the heartbreak and devastation this leaves behind. Knowing that this is ongoing, I vow to do the best I can to ensure that families are not torn apart. I promise that I will always support each of my clients and I will have your best interest at all times.
